Intiated as one of
Governor Murphy's top
priorities,The Gun Violence
Research Center is one of the
first state-funded research
centers in the United States.
The GVRC implements
Interdisciplinary driven
research to the causes,
consequences, and solutions
toviolence related to guns.
I started by learning more about Dr. Dan Semenza, Dr. Mike Anestis, Dr. Esprene Liddell-Quintyn, and Dr. Nazsa S. Baker. and their research interests. I began taking notes, and citing quotes and statistics to use into the script based off of their articles and thesis papers they've written. From there I condensed an entire essay of information into a readable and orangnized Timetable script for us to use as a reference for what each of the researchers can talk about and for how long during their interviews.
Then based off of my script, I used a storyboard to visualize my idea for the motion graphics and visualize these facts and keypoints that will be said in these videos

We did an interview with 4 of the Gun Violence researchers. Dr. Dan Semenza and Dr. Esprene Liddell-Quintyn the first week of recording, and Dr. Mike Anestis and Dr. Nazsa S. Baker the next week, we've done several retakes during this process until all the information for the topic was said smoothly and clearly with no slip-ups. I was working with Raymond Clinkscale in reviewing some of the footage after editing out mistakes from the rest of footage, working on the timing and how to divide up these 10+ minute interviews each.
